Hello everyone! Or should I say happy August 1st? This year is just flying by isn't it? About A Girl has revealed a brand new challenge for you today. This time we are challenging you to pick one color, any color and create a layout.
I chose to use papers from the "Vintage Shabby" collection by Tim Holtz, with coordinating cardstock between my layers. I ran my layers through my Zutter distressing tool. On the cardstock I used a Martha Stewart border punch, then inked the edges in "Merlot" by Martha Stewart. A little random masking with heavy gesso and a Prima mask, and I was ready to embellish...
I colored my lace and the chippie using "Wild Currant" from Tattered Angels, then I inked the edges of the dressform with black ink, affixing it to my page with pop dots for dimension. So pick a color and play along with us. Thanks so much for coming by. Hope you have an awesome day!
This is so soft & pretty! I love the texture.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. The differing shades make you forget it's all done in a monochromatic style!
