Spread Your Wings for Berry71Bleu

Good morning! Today I'm sharing the page that I created for Berry71Bleu as one of their guest designers this month. This month's challenge is to create a project with the theme "Things with wings" and this is my take on it.
For my page I've used papers from Blue Fern "Sanctuary"and Bo Bunny "Rose Cafe", mixing in a brown bag and some pieces of ephemera I had on hand. I created a process video That you can view at the end of this post.
And I have a process video that you can see here:

Well that's it for me today. If you a chance there's still a couple days left to join in the challenge. Thanks so much for stopping in! Hope you have a creative day!

Make A Wish

Good morning and happy Monday! It's reveal time once again at Let's Get Sketchy and I have my inspiration page to share with you.
I decided to flip the sketch to work better with the photo. I chose an older collection of papers from BoBunny. I love the soft colors and I didn't have to worry about them competing with my black and white photo. To start, I distressed and tore the edges of my second layer, adhering it to my flowered background paper.  Then added some stamping and additional texture by using a Prima flourish stencil with texture paste to mimic the flourishes that were already in random spots of the pattern on the paper. After distressing all the layers that are my design, I mounted them on thin pieces of cardboard for dimension and so I could tuck in my embellishments easily.
And here's our fab sketch this week.

Spot of Tea for Reneabouquets

Happy Friday all! Today I'd like to share my latest creation for Reneabouquets featuring a bunch of products that she carries in her shop.
I used papers from the "Mad Tea Party" by Marion Smith, adding a bit more texture using the Tim Holtz doily stencil and texture paste throughout the layers. I created a couple flowers clusters around the adorable photo using some Prima Manhatten flowers, mixing in some from my stash, tucking in a couple of the Prima clock faces, and a spoon trinket. Then I added another small cluster to the bottom of the page. Next I had to add a few flutters to the page, really what page is complete without butterflies? I know I use them on every project that I create, and the Tiny Treasures Fairy Dust Glitter Glass butterflies worked perfectly for this page. They are so gorgeous and the sparkle is amazing!
The Diamond Glitter Glass worked perfectly for adding a pinch of sugar to the spoons, allowing some to spill over onto the page.
Here is my product list with links to the shop:

Thanks so much for coming by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Adorable

Good morning! It's time for the second reveal at Picture This! This time the criteria is:
3 photos + black&white + lace
Here's what I came up with using the recipe.
I used Prima's Anna Marie papers and some of the flowers for this page, as well as some flowers, lace, ribbon, wooden spools, and thread from my stash. The dressform chippie, Dina Wakley gesso, and silver microbeads can be found at Reneabouquets etsy shop.
I started by trimming the pink layer and giving it a decorative edge with a couple of border punches, slightly angling the bottom edge. Then I added some stamping to the background around where my layers were going. I applied some gesso using a sponge randomly on the background, then added some splatters of gesso that I thinned down. Next I added my distressed layers, which I mounted on thin cardboard. I then distressed and layered my photos, mounting the top photo on another piece of thin cardboard and adhered them to the layered mat. Then I was ready to add my embellishment clusters and gave everything a dab of gesso. As a finishing touch I gave the page a few black splatters.
Thanks so much for popping in! For even more inspiration check out all the beautiful projects from the rest of the DT here. Hope you get a chance to join us! Have an awesome day!

Kisses

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! It's reveal time once again at Let's Get Sketchy and I have my inspiration page to share with you.
I used papers from KaiserCraft's Key To My Heart collection for this page. I started by creating a border by trimming the paper and giving it a decorative edge with a border punch. Then on the background I added some interest by stamping with a few different stamps and some mix'd media ink. I added texture using a CW stencil and texture paste, then a few sprays of Shimmerz RazzelDazzel Berry and Tattered Angels' Bubble gum to subtly blend it all in. Finishing the background with some black splatters. Next I distressed all the layers that would be my photo mat, adhering them together, and mounting them on a piece of thin cardboard for added dimension. Once it was adhered to my page I simply added my embellies and there you have it =)
Here are a few closies of the details.

And here's our fabulous sketch for you this week designed by Jenessa.

Enjoy Life

Good morning and Happy New Year all! Today I'd like to share a page that I created for Picture This! Our first challenge has gone live and it's so easy to join in. We give you a basic criteria and you run with it. The purpose of our challenges are to get you thinking and allow you to put your own spin on the criteria, as long as we can still see the basic elements of the challenge criteria in your layout. The recipe for our first challenge is simply 1 photo + sunburst + paint.
 Pretty easy, right?
I kept my take on the challenge fairly clean and simple.
One of my guilty pleasures, especially during the winter months when it's cold and rainy, is to put the chores aside for a little while and curl up with a good book. Sometimes you just need to escape and recharge right?

Well that's it for me today. I hope you all enjoy your New Year's with family and friends. And I hope you get the chance to join in our challenge. You have until the end of the month to link up your projects here. Have an amazing day!
