Play for Let's Get Sketchy

Happy Monday morning! Are you ready for a new sketch reveal from Let's Get Sketchy? This week we have a super fun sketch designed by Brenshevia to get your mojo going. First, I'd like to share my inspiration page based off the sketch.
I had so much fun creating this page. I kept the design simple with just a bit of mixed media. As a bonus I got to use up some older Basic Grey papers and various wood veneers from my stash.
And here's our fabulous sketch for you this week.
I hope you get a chance to join us this week. I'm looking forward to seeing your takes on the sketch. Thanks so much for coming by! Have a creative day!

Guardian

Good morning all! I'm so glad you popped in. Today a new challenge has been revealed at Picture This and I'd love to share my inspiration page with you.
The challenge criteria is: 3 photos + vertical placement. Here's my take on the challenge.
Using some Bo Bunny "Altitude" papers I started by adding a bit of stamping and stenciling to the background. I created a lot of sparkle for this wintery page by giving the wood veneer snowflakes, pine cones, and pine branches a coating of gesso then applying glitter before they dried. I added mica flakes to the tips of the leaves and in a few random spots on the page for even more texture and sparkle.
I have some close-ups
Well that's it for me today. Now it's your turn & I hope you get a chance to join us. I'm looking forward to seeing your takes on the challenge. Thanks so much for letting me share with you today. Hope you have a creative!

Timeless for Reneabouquets

Hi there everyone! I'm back today with one more project that I'd love to share with you. I created this shabby vintage page using a bunch of goodies that you can find at Reneabouquets. I have a product list with links at the bottom of the post.
I used papers from the Rose Cafe collection by Bo Bunny. I love the softness of the colors with the touches of gold. And I felt they would compliment the soft pink and gold in her dress.
I have put together a process video for this page below. If you have a few minutes I'd love for you to tell me what you think.

And here are the products I used to create this page:

Always In My Heart

Good morning all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It's Monday and that means it's time for a new sketch reveal at Let's Get Sketchy. Here's my inspiration page based off this week's sketch.
With Valentine's Day right around the corner I chose to use Words of Love collection by Carta Bella. I'm still in clean & simple mode so I kept my embellishing to a minimum, I wanted the photos of my daughter to stay the focal point of my page. I love the simplicity of this page, and they slide into the album so much easier.
Here's our beautiful sketch this week, which I flipped.
Now it's your turn to work the sketch. I hope you get a chance to join us. I'd love to see your takes. Thanks so much for dropping in for a peek. Hope you have a creative day!

Love life always

Hey there all! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Here we are, it's the first of February, can you believe it? January just blurred on by. Oh well, we're just that much closer to spring right? Anyway, since it's the first that means it's time for a new challenge reveal at Picture This! The challenge is:  2 repetitive photos + splatters
Easy peasy right? Here's my take.
I chose papers from Prima's Cigar Box Secrets collection. On the background I've added my usual stamping using a few different stamps and stenciling  with a Prima stencil and texture paste for texture and interest. Once I had all the layers and embellies down I sponged a bit of gesso randomly then added the required splatters using white and black acrylic paint as a finishing touch.

Now it's your turn. I'd love to see you join us. Thanks so much for dropping in. Hope you have a beautiful day!
