Right up my alley!

I've recently found another challenge blog that sounds like it's right up my alley. I freely admit that I'm a hoarder of my scrap supplies. Well "hoarder" sounds harsh, I prefer the term "collector". Some of my collections are quite old, and I really should get around to purging my scrap space... someday. Anyhow, I stumbled onto this site that posts challenges that has you actually using your stash that you've been cultivating. The blog is Scrap Your Crap, and their current challenge it to do a layout or card using twine or floss. Who doesn't have that somewhere in their stash? I have a layout in mind and I'm gonna try to get it cranked out in time. I better get busy!

Now that I'm sort of getting a little more comfortable in the world of blogging, I've found a few more blog sites that I think seem pretty fun. The newest one is Scrap It With a Song. During the month of June, I was able to play along and post three layouts on their blog. It was so easy and fun to do, just complete a project using the song they provide to draw inspiration from.
Here's the three layouts I submited in June...

The title "May your worries stay small" is part of the lyrics in the song "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.

In this quick layout I chose the lyrics "Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there" from the song "Drive" by Incubus.

And for the final week of June the song was "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. Great song!
Hello! Back in May I came across a challenge blog called Stuck on You Sketches. They had this sketch posted and it had so many possibilities I just had to jump in and play along.

Looks fun doesn't it? And this was my take on the sketch....

Needless to say, I was tickled when my layout was chosen as one of the top three. This was the first time that I had entered a sketch challenge.

I love this collection from Prima called Nature Garden! These papers are so beautiful and versitile. On this layout I was playing around with a mask and Tattered Angels mist, as well as a little white acrylic paint for added detail. I really like how it came out.
Good morning! This is a quick and easy layout that I did for a challenge over at Scrapbook.com. The challenge was really simple, all you had to do was create a layout that was predominately pink. I knew right away which paper collection I was going to use for this layout. Hoarder that I am, I had this collection set aside for that "perfect picture" layout. I found this photo of my daughter shortly before the challenge was announced, but I didn't really have a layout in mind. Once I read about the challenge and remembered having these papers from Glitz design the page just came together so easily. I love when that happens!
