Selfies

Good morning all! It's Monday and that means it's time for another sketch reveal at Let's Get Sketchy. First I'd like to share my take on this week's sketch

My daughter is constantly taking selfies. She gets on Kick chatting with her friends, and with every message you send you have to have a pic, or so she tells me. I'll stick with Facebook, it seems like less trouble. Anyhoo, I used Heidi Swapp's Hello Today paper collection for this page. I added a few splatters of light pink acrylic paint to the background for a bit of subtle texture. Some of the stickers are HS also and some are Recollections. The dark blue jute string is by American Crafts. I got the Flair from 2 Peas. The flowers, buttons, and sequins are from my stash. And the aqua tape is by K&Co. Smash.
And this is our fabulous sketch for you this week designed by Jenessa Franco
Thanks for coming by and letting me share my page with you! Remember you have until the end of the month to get your creations based off the sketch linked up with us. Hope you have a delightful day!

Spring always returns

Happy Thursday everyone! And welcome to the Colorful Creations Spring Fling Blog Hop!
To help us get ready to usher Spring in, we decided to have a Spring themed Blog Hop so all the projects you find along the hop will be themed around Spring. Make sure you visit each DT member’s blog!

You should have come from the Colorful Creations blog, if not, please go back to the Colorful Creations blog to start the hop from the beginning.

For my hop challenge I would like you to use pastel colors for your layout. Easy enough right?
Here is the page I created
I used Crate Paper's Oh Darling range for this page. I mounted my photo on cardboard for a bit of dimension then angled it slightly, I didn't want the design to look too boxy. Seeing flowers sprout and bloom through the snow makes you hopeful for Spring's arrival doesn't it?
Once you have completed your layout, please head back over to the CC blog to upload your entry. Please tag your entry: SF-Michelle when you link up your project. ANY PROJECT NOT PROPERLY TAGGED WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE DRAWING!!! The more you play, the better your chances of winning this great prize courtesy of Colorful Creations!
Now head on over to Toccara's blog and see the great challenge she has in store for you!
Remember you have to have your projects linked up no later than midnight, CST, March 29th
Here is the lineup in case you get lost:

I am...

Good morning! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. The sun's shining and the weather's getting warm again here so I plan to spend some much needed time outdoors today. But first I want to share the sketch reveal that has gone live today at Colorful Creations and my inspiration page based from the fabulous sketch.
I mixed papers from Kaisercraft's Basecoat and 75 Cents for this page. The planks on the Basecoat paper I cut to varying lengths, then sort of pinked the edges with my scissors. I did some stamping to the background with one of my floral Glitz Designs stamps. It's one of my favorites, but I've had it forever and can't remember which collection it's for. The larger flowers are Prima and the rest are stash flowers. I used rhinestones by Molossi for a little bling. And the lace, thread, and buttons are all from my stash.
And here's our fabulous sketch designed by Brenshevia.
You have until the end of the month to link up your creations here. I hope you get the chance to join us. Thanks so much for coming by! Hope you have a happy, scrappy weekend!

Hello Dear...

Hello all! Today I'm up on the Friday the Thirteenth blog so I thought I'd share my projects here as well. The first card is a Spring inspired card using lovely papers from the Summer In The Garden collection.
And the second card that I have to share is another that I made to send to my Grandmother. And the vintage feel to this card was created using papers from the Good To Know collection. Both collections available here.
Thanks for coming by!

Sunshine on a stem

Hi there everyone! Thank goodness it's Friday, huh? I'm glad the weekend's finally here. I have a new page to share with you that I've done using the March mood board at Black With Two.
For the background I mixed modeling paste with a little Banana Cream acrylic paint and a CW stencil for a bit more texture and interest. The flowers I picked up at Hobby Lobby and they were originally a cream color and I really wanted them to match the flowers from the photo better so I sprayed them Lemon Zest by Tattered Angels. I think they ended up being pretty close to the photo. I love yellow flowers, they are so cheerful and remind me of sunshine on a stem.
And here the March mood board for Black With Two
Thanks so much for stopping in! Hope you have an amazing weekend!

Riding the sky

Good morning all! Today I have a very CAS page to share with you that I created based from this week's sketch that was revealed at Stick It Down this morning.
For this page I used papers from the "DIY Shop" collection by Crate Paper with scraps from Dear Lizzy's "Lucky Charm" collection. On the background I used the "Kaleidoscope" stencil by TCW and Liquitex modeling paste. The wood veneer camera is from Studio Calico. The baker's twine is from WRMK.
And here is our sketch for you this week
I hope you get the chance to join us! Thanks for coming by and letting me share with you! Hope you have a fabulous day!
