Vintage boy for Friday the 13th

Good morning all! Today I'm up on the Friday The Thirteenth blog with a vintage layout I created using papers from the Good To Know and 100% collections.
I just love the distressed blue/khaki print and thought it was a perfect choice for this charming little boy's photo. After giving the edges some messy punch work I went around the background with a sponge and some light gesso. With a TCW stencil and Liquitex heavy gesso I went back around and randomly added a bit more texture. Once that dried I did just a bit of stamping with a script stamp from Kaisercraft and black Colorbox ink.
Thank you for stopping in and letting me share this page with you! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Garden oasis

Good morning! Hope you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend! It's time for a new sketch reveal at Let's Get Sketchy and it's sure to get your creative mojo going. Here is my take on this week's sketch.
I grabbed a lovely garden photo and Dear Lizzy "Lucky Charm" papers and went to work. On the background I used the "Hex" stamp by Prima and Black Color Box ink. The flowers are Prima and a few from my stash. The cute fairy resin is also from Prima. The alphas are "Storytellers" by Webster's Pages. The rhinestones and ribbon are from my stash. I made the foliage diecuts with a Spellbinder's die. And I gave the page a few splatters of white and lavender acrylic paints.
And here is this week's fabulous sketch designed by Tabitha Triplett.
Now it's your turn. You have until midnight this Friday to link your pages here using the week 4 link. Thanks so much for coming by for a peek! I hope you have an awesome day!

Winter Wishes

Hey there all! Over on the Friday the Thirteenth blog we have launch our first challenge of the year. We would like for you to create a card. album, layout, etc. inspired by "snow". For this challenge I decided to create a card using papers from the "Lady's Night" collection, and a cute little tear bear made with mulberry paper among the snowflakes.
I hand stitched the distressed layers, added a bit of glitter to the snowflakes to give them a little sparkle, and with white acrylic paint gave it some splatters, then adhered my little tear bear holding a banner to finish it off. I would love for you to join us. You have until the Feb. 15th to link your creations here. Happy crafting!

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your weekend. There seems to be some issues with Blogger lately. Is anyone else having problems or is it just me? I had a post scheduled for yesterday and it never published. Soooo I guess I'll share with you now =) I have some exciting news to share. Friday the Thirteenth, a paper manufacturer located in Poland, has asked me to join their creative team. I'm super excited and really enjoying playing with all the beautiful collections they have. I have two layouts finished that I can share with you. I used Banana Cocktail and Lemonade from the Sweet and Sour collection, and Orange from the Summer in the Garden collection to created this first page.
And the second page I created using the Lady's Night collection.
Aren't these papers lovely? You can find them here. Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my creations with you!

New year, new beginnings

Good morning! It's time to kick off our very first Colorful Creations challenge at our new home, and we have a fabulous sketch to inspire you. This is my take on the sketch
I used the Teresa Collins collection "Vintage Finds" papers for this page. So many of the inspirational words and sayings are things I want to focus on this year, so they worked perfectly for this layout. Pulling inspiration from my photo, I randomly added some gesso and watercolor paint on my background.
The flourish die cuts were made with a Cheery Lynn die, and the glittered alphas are Thickers. The clock transparency is from Heidi Swapp.

My flowers are a mix of Prima, Funtoolas, and my stash. The metal clock charms are "vintage findings" from Michael's.
And here's the fab sketch designed by Brenshevia
Now it's your turn so go grab your scrappy supplies! You have until Jan. 30th to link up your projects here and a winner will be randomly chosen for this month's prize. I hope you join us, I can't wait to see your projects. Thanks so much for dropping in and your lovely comments!

My favorite view

Happy Monday everyone! It's time for a new sketch and DT reveal at Let's Get Sketchy. So today I have my inspiration page to share with you.
I love this photo I took of Makara up on the Foothills Pkwy. right down the road from our house. All the paper I used for this page are from the "Harvest" collection by We R Memory Keepers. For the circular elements from the sketch I used a couple different postage stamps and black ColorBox ink on the background. The flowers are from Petaloo, Prima, and a few from my stash.  I collected some cute little acorns from my yard and decided to throw some into my clusters. The tiny rhinestones are from Recollections in topaz. The lace and ribbon are both from my stash. The forget me not die cuts I made using a Memory Box die, adding the tiny rhinestones to the flower centers to dress them up a bit.
And here's the beautiful sketch designed by Jenessa Franco.
Now it's your turn, and I can't wait to see your creations! Thanks for stopping in!

Happy Holidays

Good morning! It's time for our first official sketch challenge at Stick It Down. It's the first Tuesday of the month so we have a fun, versatile single page sketch to get your creative mojo going. This is my inspiration page based off the sketch.
I used Pink Paislee papers, stenciling the background with Snow Tex, and then inking the edges. The doilies were sprayed with Heidi Swapp color shine in Tinsel and Tattered Angels' Mel's Diner. The silver washi tape is from Recollections. And the stickers are Soft Spoken.
And here's the sketch, which I mirrored for my page.
Now it's your turn! I'd love to see your take on the sketch. You have until Jan. 13th to link up your project here. Thanks so much for stopping by. I truly appreciate it.
