All I want for Christmas...

Good morning, scrappy friends! Today I'd like to share a layout that I've done using a Mojo Monday sketch designed by Tammy for the Flying Unicorn. Every Monday they provide a sketch to get your creativity rolling. This is her amazing sketch:
I really liked the sketch so I stayed pretty close to it for my layout. Since I even stuck with the Christmas theme I'm entering it into the current challenge #120 "Santa Claus is coming" at Lasting Memories, which is to do a Christmas themed project. And this is what I created:
I used the "Twig & Berry" collection from Kaisercraft for my layout. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz "Black Soot" to distress it a little and help define the layers. I have a few close-ups of the details...
For a little more sparkle I randomly stamped the background with metallic silver ink and bubble wrap. It doesn't show real well in the photos, but IRL it gives a nice sparkle.
For the flowers in my clusters I used red poinsettias from Petaloo, white poinsettias that I picked up from Michael's, and the smaller white roses are Prima. The red leaves and pine branches are from a floral pick that I took apart. The red ribbon with pearls is from my stash.
My Christmas tree I hand cut from a piece of chipboard. I spritzed and inked it till I got the colors I wanted, inking the edges a little darker. Then topped it off with a clear coat of embossing powder. With my hot glue gun I assembled my tiers, then trimmed it out with little doodads. For my star topper I inked it with metallic gold ink, then embossed it with gold embossing powder.
Thank you for taking the time to come see what I've been up to. Your time and comments are always appreciated. Hope you have a wonderful day.
