A frozen beauty
Happy Monday! It's time for a new reveal at Let's Get Sketchy. This week we are including a color challenge along with a fun sketch. Here's my take on the fabulous sketch and color requirement...
I used a mix of Kaisercraft and Heidi Grace papers. The flowers I picked up at Michael's back in November, the red glittery leaves and berries are from floral sprays that I cut apart. The ribbons and lace are from my stash. And the cute little bird is from Prima.
I water distressed and inked the top layer of my background with Donna Salazar mix media ink in Jasmine, then splattered lightly with white and green acrylic paints.
And here is this week's fun sketch and the color scheme...
Thanks so much for coming by and letting me share my latest page with you. To see all the beautiful inspiration the rest of the DT has created, please head on over to Let's Get Sketchy. Have a wonderful day!

Cherish you
Hi all! Today I'm sharing the layout that I've done for the sketch #56 reveal at Keeping the Best. I've used older Prima papers for this page. I'm still working through my stash, trying to make a dent in all the paper that I've been hoarding. I hand stitched the heart on the background then decided it still needed something so then I masked the inside with a Crafter's Workshop mask and texture paste. I really like the way it turned out.
And a few close-ups...
And this is the beautiful sketch...
Please remember that you have two weeks to play with this sketch and link up with us. I'd love to see you join us! Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate your time and support.

...I will follow
Good morning! It's finally friday! And there's a new recipe revealed at The Paper Mixing Bowl where I'm guest designing this month. Here's what the new recipe looks like...
And here's what I cooked up...
For this page I used lace, feathers, gold paint which I used to stamp, charms, and I think that the background can be considered predominately green. I used the peeled wallpaper technique from Renea's tutorial on the Scraps of Darkness site. I don't think it turned out too bad for my first try- I'll keep working on it though. My laptop crashed and was down for a few days so I lost all my links. I'm still trying to recover everything- as soon as I get the link for the tutorial I'll post it. I have a few close-ups of some of the details...
For my charms I chose a clover and a Claddagh (which is commonly seen on Irish rings and the design represents love, friendship, and loyalty. Traditionally they are handed down from Mother to Daughter or Grandmother to Granddaughter.)
I used the lyrics from the U2 song "I will follow" which is about a mother's unconditional love.
Thanks for taking the time to come by and allowing me to share this with you! I truly appreciate it! Have a wonderful day!

Beyond all reason
Hello all! Another week has flown by! It's time for a new reveal at Let's Get Sketchy. Here's the fun sketch for this week...
And this is my take on the sketch...
All the papers are from Bo Bunny's Serenade collection except for the red paper is an older KaiserCraft's Bird Song "Flutter". I thought the faint black flowers on it worked well the Serenade papers. The doilies I misted lightly with Tattered Angels' in gold. The lace and flowers are from my stash.
The key and charm that I have under my bow I picked up at Micheal's for around a dollar on clearance. I decided to do some lacing on this one. I have to say the eyelets gave me some grief at first, it had been so long since I had used my Chomper. I actually forgot that I still had it. I'm pretty happy with the end result- it's a little something different for a change.
I got the stick pin is from Angelica's etsy. I love all her goodies. And the dragonfly is from one of my Scraps of Darkness kits. The "hope" charm is from Prima. And I added black seed beads on the background for just a little more interest. I think I have a thing for seed beads right now. lol
Thanks for popping in! I really appreciate your time!

Good morning! It's time for a new reveal at Keeping the best! When I seen the sketch I had two different layouts in mind, and I couldn't decide which way to go so I went ahead and did both. Here's the first one that I did based off the sketch...
And my second page...
And here is the fabulous new sketch...

Let's Get Sketchy Birthday Blog Hop
Let's Get Sketchy is turning one and to celebrate we are having a Birthday Bash Blog hop! As you make your way along our hop to visit each of our DT blogs you will find lots of Birthday inspired projects. If you have arrived here from Carla's blog welcome to the hop! If you have stumbled across this by chance and want to play along then you can head back to the Let's Get Sketchy site and start at the beginning, and start collecting your Birthday "clue" words. As you hop along the way you will find clue words on each of the Design Team members' blogs. Once you have gathered all the words they will form a quote related to our Birthday. Tell us that quote by emailing Let's Get Sketchy and get your name in the pot for an extra drawing.
Birthday Bash Challenge- To create any Birthday inspired project from the examples you see on the DT pages and upload it on the LGS site. If their project is a layout then do a lift of that layout, if it's a project of sorts then do that project. You can pick any DT member's blog project for the hop. The winner of the hop will be randomly selected and will win a nice bag of scrap goodies from LGS.
Here are the rules for playing and winning:
1) You must be a follower of each LGS team member's blog and leave a comment on each blog;
2) You must be a follower of the LGS blog.
Please make sure you visit the entire team today as some members are hosting additional blog challenges and offering their own extra goodies for you, so the more you play the more chances to win! All blog hop entries are due by midnight March 8th CST.
For the hop I decided to do a page of my daughter when she was turning one. She really annihilated her cake!
My clue word is "be". Now hop on over to Lynne's blog to see what she has in store for you!
