Chasing Waterfalls...

Hi, All! I just have time for a quick post before I take the kiddos trick or treating. So I thoughtI'd share a layout that I've done for the Sketchabilities challenge #78. It's another awesome sketch designed by Karan Gerber. Here's the sketch we have to work with...

This sketch has so many possibilities, but I just wanted to keep it fairly simple and the focus on the photo. And this is what I came up with...

I know the sketch shows three photos, which I just didn't have on hand, so I used two pieces on patterned paper in place of two of the pics. For this layout I used Prima's Fairy Belle collection, a mix of Prima and Petallo flowers, Martha Stewart punches, and Dusty Attic chipboard.

Thanks for coming by!  I truly appreciate your time and comments! Hope everyone has a safe Halloween!

Welcome Fall

Good Morning! Today's reveal day again at Let's Get Sketchy! Since this is the 5th Monday of the month we are mixing things up just a bit. This week you are being challenged to lift a layout from one of the Design Team members that are posted today. For mine I lifted this beautiful layout done by Charlotte...
And this was what I came up with...

I decided to go with a fall theme. I couldn't wait to use these papers from Bo Bunny. For the background I used bubble wrap and Smooch "Pumpkin Spice".  In place of the doily I cut a piece of burlap into a circle. The flowers are a mix of Prima and Petaloo. And the berry branch I picked up at Michael's. The squirrel charm came from Hobby Lobby and is by Fairytales. The border punch I used is Martha Stewart's Vintage Floral. And the butterflies are from Angelica's etsy shop. Here's her link:

I have a few close-ups...

Thanks for coming by! Please check out this week's challenge at LGS and consider playing along. You have until Nov. 4th to get it uploaded. Hope you have a terrific day!

You Are A Wonderful Miracle

Good Morning! Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday! Today I wanted to share a page that I've done as my entry for the Round Robin at Flying Unicorn as well as the color challenge #14 at Color Me Scrappy . This is my first time joining in on a Round Robin and I have to say the anticipation and my nerves were killing me. I didn't know what to expect, I just knew that when it came to my turn I didn't want to disappoint my team. I'm so glad that when it was my turn it just clicked... I knew exactly what I wanted do for my page. It just fell into place thank goodness. I used Prima's Zephyr Collection pattern papers, trinkets, notecards, as well as the wood embellishments. I thought this line worked perfectly for the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy.

I distressed and inked all my layers. I also used Martha Stewart "Cherish" and "Vintage Floral" border punches on a couple of layers. There's also some masking with a Prima's "Poppies and Peonies" mask and gesso on the background and some layers. The flowers are a mixture of Manor House, Prima, and some I've had in my stash.

The chipboard I sponged a couple layers of gesso, then randomly stamped gold to give it a gilded kind of look. Then I glued seed beads randomly to give a little more texture and interest.

I threaded a strand of pearls through the pale yellow doily. The butterflies have yellow stickles to dress them up a little. Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share my page with you. I really appreciate your time and comments. Have a wonderful day!

Tremont

Good morning, Everyone! Today I wanted to share the latest Let's Get Sketchy sketch which was revealed today. Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on this fun sketch designed by Tabitha Triplett:

For my page I distressed and inked the layers. I hand stitched around the punch work on the background layer. I used three different Martha Stewart punches. The circle I created with a stencil and molding paste that I inked with Stazon Olive green. The flowers are mostly from Prima, Petaloo, as well as K & Co. The leaves I made using Spellbinder's dies and my Sizzix Big Shot. The little resin bird sitting on the branch is from Prima. The butterflies are from Renea's etsy shop at http://www.reneabouquets.etsy.com/. And I have a few closeups to share...

I also did a little stamping with a Prima stamp and Stazon Timber brown ink pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate it and your comments very much! For even more inspiration please stop by LGS and check out the beautiful creations the rest of the DT posted. Have a wonderful day!

Father & Daughter

Hey guys. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today is Monday and another sketch reveal at Let's Get Sketchy.  And here is the fabulous sketch...

And this is my take ...

For this page I chose the new Prima "Craftman" line and KaiserCraft's "Sears and son" Collection. They came in my Scraps of Darkness September kit. I love this picture of the two of them. My husband is really enjoying all the attention while pretending that he's not so she'll keep doing it.
