Make the days count

Good morning all! Boy, I can't believe that it's Monday already. I have lost a day somewhere, somehow. Are you ready for a new sketch to get your mojo working this week? Today I have the latest sketch reveal for Let's Get Sketchy and my inspiration page to share with you.
For this page I used papers from Bo Bunny's Prairie Chic collection as well as a few pieces from the noteworthy pack. I did a bit of random masking on the background with some modeling paste mixed with pink acrylic paint, using the Static stencil from Prima. Then I went a little bit flower crazy with various flowers from my stash, tucking some thread and metal buttons here and there.
Here's a couple closies
And here's our fabulous sketch this week, designed by Tabitha Triplett
Thanks so much for stopping in! I truly appreciate your time and lovely comments! Have a delightful day!

Polaroid confetti pocket tutorial

Good morning everyone! When my friend Laura Whitaker asked if I'd be interested in doing a tutorial as a guest designer at Scrap Much? I jumped at the chance. I started tossing ideas around right way and decided to share a tutorial with you for creating confetti pockets using polaroid frame die cuts. They are very easy to do and add such a fun element to your projects. If you don't have a ready made frame you can use one that you've cut yourself with your cutting machine, simply use a piece of cardstock for your back.

And I've done a layout using one of the frames just to give you an idea
I'm a newbie at giving tutorials, but I hope you enjoyed it enough to give these pockets a try. If you do I'd love for you to share your creations with me. Thanks for letting me share my tutorial and page with you today. And I want to thank Laura and Scrap Much? for this fun opportunity. Have a wonderful day!

Reason to smile

Good Morning and happy Tuesday everyone! Here we are half way through July already, can you believe it? This summer is really flying by. I have to go register my daughter tomorrow for high school. I still get a little depressed when I think about it. Anyway, it's time for the mid-month sketch reveal for Colorful Creations and we have a fun, versatile sketch to inspire you. Here's my inspiration page based from the sketch.
Yep, I'm still on my aqua kick. This time I've paired it with brown. I used papers from Prima's Madeline range for this page. On the background I've done a bit of random masking with some modeling paste and a TCW stencil. The bird's nest I used is by Prima, and the white carnations are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lace, butterflies, and all the aqua flowers are from my stash.
And here's our fabulous sketch designed by Brenshevia.
I hope you get the chance to join us. You have until the end of the month to link up your creations based from this sketch here. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Remember this

Good morning all! It's time for another fabulous sketch reveal at Let's Get Sketchy and I have my inspiration page to share with you.
For my page I used Prima papers along with flowers, lace, ribbon, and pearls from my stash. The title arrow is from a Crate Paper cut-outs and the little bird is from a BoBunny ephemera pack. Since I seem to have a thing for angles right now I decided to angle my photos just a bit for a more casual, fun look. And here's our fabulous sketch this week, I simply flipped it for my page.
Now it's your turn to work the sketch. I can't wait to see all your wonderful creations. Thanks so much for popping in! Hope you have a delightful day!

A new set of tags

Hello and happy Friday all! Today I'm sharing a set of gift tags that I created this week. I was motivated by the current challenge over at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge blog. I've only recently started making tags of my own, this is just my second set. I think I was intimidated by working with such a small space. Thank goodness I got over that, they really are fun to do. I've been creating two at a time, they just might be addicting.
I started with Kraft paper as my base on both and used patterned paper from Friday the Thirteenth. I dug through my stash of laces, stamps, and flowers and went to work. Even though I did these together and I keep calling them a set I wanted them to have different looks. The tea stained roses are looking a bit darker than they are IRL. They actually have a pinkish tone to them. Isn't the little birdcage cute? I've been hoarding it for a while, now it's found a home.

Thanks so much for dropping in and letting me share these with you. I truly appreciate your time and lovely comments. Hope you have a delightful weekend!

Beauty in all she is

If you're here for the Black With 2 reveal please scroll down to the previous post.
Good morning all! Here we are in the second half of the year already, can you believe it? This year is flying by way too fast. It's time for a new sketch reveal at Stick It Down and I have my inspiration page to share with you.
For this page I used papers from MME. Unfortunately the strip were already cut off and I can't remember the name of the collection. I let my daughter choose the papers, and with blue being her favorite color she gravitated right to this collection. The flowers, laces, wooden buttons, and pearl strand are from my stash. The resin birdcage is from SpareParts. And the little veneer bird which I colored blue is from Studio Calico. I distressed all my layers, did some sloppy punching along the border, and gave the background a bit of random stamping. I kept the design simple and as close to the sketch as possible, I just flipped it and moved my title up.
And here's our week 1 sketch for you
Now it's your turn to work the sketch and I can't wait to see your creations! Thanks for dropping in today! Hope you have a happy, scrappy day!

Tropicana paradise

Good morning! It's the first of July, can you believe it? Are you ready for a new challenge? It's time for July's moodboard to be revealed at Black With 2. The colors for July: use orange and gray on black cardstock background. And here's our July board with the sketch.
And here's my inspiration page based off the board
Isn't the photo beautiful? I wish I was there right now. The papers I used are from Endless Summer collection by Paper House, and of course black cardstock. To dress up the cardstock and give it some interest I did a little masking using a TCW stencil and modeling paste mixed with acrylic paint in Zinc. I colored the cheese cloth with Heidi Swapp color shine in Tinsel. The flowers are a mix from Petaloo, Prima, and my stash. The ribbon that I've twirled across the page is scrap I had left over from a previous project. I think it was by Basic Grey.
Thanks so much for coming by! I hope you get the chance to join us!
