Good morning all! I'm thrilled to be guest designing at
Scrap Africa for their March 1st sketch challenge. Here is the page I created based off the beautiful sketch, which I turned upside down.

I chose papers from Kaiser Craft's Blue Bay collection for this page. I started by doing a little random stamping with a script stamp and Prima's chalk ink in Farmer's Jeans. To add more texture and interest I used heavy gesso and a ledger stencil, then a Tim Holtz faded dots stencil. I used acrylic paint in Marine and a lid to create a few random rings on the background. And the I added splatters with white acrylic paint and Tattered Angels in Dark Denim. I inked all the layers matting the photo with the Farmer's Jeans then matted on thin cardboard for dimension. Then I layered my photos, mounting the bottom one on another piece of thin cardboard, and adhered them to my matting. My flowers are a mix of Petaloo and some white blooms from my stash. I added a few metal trinkets and string to the clusters. Then added some seed beads randomly for a bit more detail.
And here's their beautiful sketch.
