Guest designing for Life In Details

Good morning everyone! I have been honored with the opportunity to guest design for Life In Details challenge blog this month. It's a great challenge site if you are into creating Project life/Pocket pages or Smash books. You really need to check them out if you haven't already. The challenge this month is to create a confetti pocket. Sounds like fun right? I admit I'd never done one before, but I really enjoyed it and I love how it turned out.

 I simply added some sequins, seed beads, buttons, butterfly and circle punches, and a few wood veneers and stitched the top of the pocket closed. Easy Peasy! And here's the whole page.

Black With 2 & a recipe

Good morning all! June is here and it's time for the reveal of June's mood board from Black With Two.

I decided to try doing a recipe page for my take on the board and this is my page.

I wanted to keep it clean and simple so that it would fit into the book easily and be functional. I have thought about doing a recipe book for awhile and this month's mood board inspired me to finally start. My sister's always calling me with "How do you make..." so I've gathered a few of her requests and plan to make her a recipe book. I used papers from Fabscraps Raspberry line. After searching around all the local stores for fake raspberries that I could use to embellish the page with I decided to try making my own with my hot glue gun and some seed beads.
